존 최 플러싱상공회의소 사무총장과 샤론 이 퀸즈보로 부보로장이 뉴욕의 정치전문매체 시티앤스테이트(City&State)가 선정한 ‘2019년 퀸즈에서 가장 영향력 있는 인물 100인’에 선정됐다.

시티앤스테이트는 4일 퀸즈 정치인과 사회운동가 가운데 최 사무총장이 59번째, 이 부보로장이 89번째로 영향력 있는 인물이라고 소개했다.

시티앤스테이트는 “최 사무총장은 뉴욕시의 대표적인 차이나타운으로 급성장하고 있는 플러싱 지역 주민들을 위해 활발한 활동을 이어오고 있다”며 “특히 이민자들이 운영하는 스몰비즈니스를 대상으로 교육과 네트웍 기회를 제공하고 있다”고 말했다.
