Kool and the Gang, one of the longest-running R&B groups in history, isn’t just a multiple Grammy Award-winning group. They helped shape funk and soul as we know it, and have inspired denizens of admirers and other talented artists since their inception in 1969. The group has no intention of slowing down anytime soon, either: Fifty-plus years later, they’ll still put on one of most raucous and memorable shows possible.
This full free concert, hosted by Roxanne Shante with DJ Sylk, is presented by NYC Parks, Queens Borough President Melinda Katz, and Comptroller Scott Stringer.
Taking place on Saturday, June 16th at the Summer Stage in Flushing Meadows Corona Park from 5PM thru 8PM.
