Meet the Lender: Greater Jamaica Development Corp.

One of the most challenging issues for small business owners is finding the much needed capital to grow their business. Join us to meet with a lender based in Queens on May 10th from 9AM thru 10AM at Queens Center, 90-27 Sutphin Blvd, 4th Floor, Jamaica, NY 11435.

In this workshop, attendees will have the opportunity to hear and meet with the Greater Jamaica Development Corporation(GJDC), formed in 1967 it was one of the nation’s first community development corporations.

GJDC is a nonprofit, alternative lender that provides small business loans here in Queens, to businesses in the 114xx & 116xx zip code areas, with a specific eye to undeserved communities in order to promote economic development. While they do have guidelines for loan approval, they are usually willing to look beyond traditional lending criteria to determine whether or not a client is creditworthy. They want to hear the business’s story and assess the owner’s character in addition to the financials presented to them.

They assist small businesses with

  • Business expansion

  • Invoice Financing

  • Debt refinancing

  • Improve Façade or Merchandizing Improvement

  • Purchase new equipment

  • Buy or improve existing property

  • Working capital

  • Bridge loan while waiting for funding from another committed source

We hope you join us for this special Queens workshop! RSVP Here!
