Cinderella Samba by City Parks Puppet Mobile on July 5th
Come join us for Flushing’s first outdoor puppet mobile performance!
The lively production features an original commissioned musical soundtrack that brings samba center-stage; handcrafted Carnival festival floats on parade; and one-of-a-kind marionettes donning their most vibrant Carnival costumes, created by the expert puppeteers from the Swedish Cottage Marionette Theater.
This original story of Cinderella takes place in the lush landscapes of Brazil. With the help of her fairy godmother, Cinderella attends Rio de Janeiro’s biggest Carnival gala. This performance will be a lot of fun for children and their families. Come out and experience the magic!
GrowNYC is back with a new season of fresh produce and the Maple Playground Greenmarket will be up and running at the same location. Support local farmers and shop the freshest fruit and vegetables. Open every Wednesday from 8am to 4pm at Maple Ave & Kissena Blvd. from July 5 through November 22.
