The Greater Flushing Chamber of Commerce is proud to partner with GrowNYC to launch Flushing’s first green market for residents. The new Greenmarket emphasizes nutritious fruits, vegetables, and other locally-sourced food products. Only items grown or produced within 250 miles of New York City will be sold. Our community can access the freshest, healthiest seasonal foods at the new Greenmarket located adjacent to Maple Playground on the south-west corner of Maple Avenue and Kissena Boulevard, just two blocks from the Flushing Branch of the Queens Library on Main Street. Through continued coordination with Flushing’s small business and civic community, as well as GrowNYC and the NYC Compost Project, the market will provide unique services such as compost drop-off, cooking demonstrations, and more.
